Out of hundreds nationwide, 125 women were selected as Remarkable Women nominees for their selflessness, achievements, and impact—and were celebrated in Los Angeles with VIP treatment, national media coverage, and nonprofit donations. Their journey culminated with a special season finale feature on The Jennifer Hudson Show, spotlighting some of their powerful stories.
Remarkable Women is part of a nationwide Nexstar Media initiative to honor the influence that women have had on public policy, social progress and the quality of life.
One woman from the DMV is considered for Nexstar’s nationwide Woman of the Year Award and selected to earn a trip to Los Angeles.

ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — As a member of the U.S. Air Force, Terace Garnier served people here in the United States and around the world, including in Japan.
Garnier, who was a broadcast journalist in the military, covered a variety of stories, all the while working to tell her own story.
Garnier wrote No Longer Silent, a book in which she discusses the pain and survival that came as the result of sexual assault.
One woman from the DMV is considered for Nexstar’s nationwide Woman of the Year Award and selected to earn a trip to Los Angeles.

KTLA 5 and Nexstar Media Group, Inc. are set to honor women who have made significant contributions to public policy, social progress, and community life through its annual Remarkable Women initiative.
The 2025 ceremony will be broadcast on April 20 at 9 p.m. Pacific on KTLA 5/The CW Network.
Each March, during Women’s History Month, Nexstar’s more than 200 stations profile local Remarkable Women. Winners are selected based on their community contributions, self-achievement, and family impact.
In April, 125 finalists, including 11 from non-Nexstar markets, are treated to a special trip to Los Angeles.
Terace stopped by to tell her story and to let those know in the time of a domestic violence emergency, who they should talk to. Her story is one of many who share theirs during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
